Up to four bikes Rear-mounted rack carries up to four bikes, suits the whole Atlas fleet. Lockable frame holders.
Bring your bikes; Atlas Motorhomes supplies the rack. Every Atlas motorhome can take a rear-mounted bike rack carrying up to four bikes, fitted before you collect from the Glasgow depot. The rack is a flat per-hire fee, lockable, and stays on the vehicle for the length of the trip. Atlas doesn’t run bike hire itself; the rack and your own bikes is the practical setup.
At a glance
Flat per-hire fee One charge for the rack, for the length of the hire. Not per night, not per bike.
Fitted at the depot The rack is fitted before you collect at 104 Hydepark Street, and removed on return. No DIY.
Add at booking Pick the bike rack from the optional extras list at booking, or add it later from your dashboard.
What the bike rack includes
- Rear-mounted bike rack, up to four bikes. Suits all Atlas motorhomes. Fitted at the depot before you collect, taken off when you return.
- Lockable frame holders. Bikes are secured to the rack rather than just strapped on. Useful for overnight stops.
- Single per-hire fee. Not per night, not per bike. Adds the rack for the whole length of the trip in one line on the quote.
- Add at booking from the optional extras list, or add later from your booking dashboard up to a few days before collection.
Where to ride
Scotland’s roads and trails do most of the work. A small selection of routes that work well for an Atlas motorhome plus bikes:
- The 7stanes. Seven mountain-bike trail centres across the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. Most have motorhome-friendly car parks; Glentress is the headline.
- Laggan Wolftrax. Cairngorms National Park, three graded trails plus a bike park, motorhome parking on site.
- Caledonian Canal towpath. Flat, well-surfaced, runs the length of the Great Glen between Inverness and Fort William. Easy day rides from a campsite stop on the NC500 or the A82.
- Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Quiet B-road loops that mix forest and loch shore. Within an hour of the depot.
If you don’t have bikes
Local hire shops near most popular Scottish trail centres rent mountain bikes by the day or week, and many will deliver to a campsite if you ask. Alpine Bikes in Innerleithen covers the 7stanes; Bothy Bikes at Aviemore covers the Cairngorms and Laggan; Highland Bikes in Fort William covers Nevis Range and the Caledonian Canal. The motorhome plus bike rack lets you pick a hire shop close to where you actually want to ride, rather than carrying bikes from Glasgow.
