Overview
The Auto-Trail F60 Compact Motorhome offers exceptional interior space and specification within a highly manoeuvrable 5.99 metre automatic motorhome. It’s a popular choice for couples seeking a premium touring experience, while still accommodating up to four people when required.
Despite its compact length, the F60 delivers motorhome-level comfort, with a spacious lounge, full kitchen, separate shower and toilet and a cleverly designed electric drop-down double bed. Its size also brings real-world advantages — particularly on ferries and Scotland’s narrower roads.
At just under 6 metres long, this vehicle is significantly cheaper on island ferries, easier to drive on single-track roads with passing places and simpler to park and manoeuvre than larger motorhomes.
For routes such as the North Coast 500, the F60 strikes an excellent balance between comfort, confidence, and practicality.
Sleeping Configurations
The F60 features an electrically operated ceiling-mounted double bed. During the day, the bed is hidden away, creating an open and airy living space. At night, it lowers smoothly at the press of a button and is ready for use in under a minute.
The lower double bed is created by moving the cushions into place. This take about a minute.
Washroom Facilities
To the rear, a separate washroom provides:-
- Shower cubicle with rigid screen: Dedicated shower enclosure with bi-fold door
- Toilet: Swivel cassette toilet with electric flush
- Basin: Vanity unit with large mirror, shelf, and mixer tap
The separate shower is a significant upgrade from wet-room style washrooms, keeping the toilet area dry and providing a more home-like bathroom experience.

With the drop-down bed stored away during the day, the F60 offers a spacious and open lounge area with the feel of a much larger motorhome.

All pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses and a kettle are supplied as standard, providing everything needed to prepare and enjoy meals comfortably.

It can be driven on a standard car licence and includes:-
