Trip destinations across Scotland

Every Atlas trip starts at our Glasgow depot, and from there the whole country is within reach. These city guides cover where to stay, what to see and how to use each place on a motorhome trip, whether you’re basing yourself somewhere for a few days or passing through on a bigger route. Pick a city to dig in.

Our city guides

Glasgow

The home city. Leave the van free at the depot through the day and walk into Finnieston, the SEC and the OVO Hydro, with free museums, festivals and a famous food scene on the doorstep.

Edinburgh

Base just outside the city and bus in for the castle, the Old Town and Arthur’s Seat. There’s a full 2–3 day Edinburgh trip idea too.

Stirling

The gateway between the Lowlands and the Highlands: the castle, the Wallace Monument and the Ochils, with Witches Craig the standout base.

Inverness

The capital of the Highlands and the hub of the NC500, with Loch Ness, Culloden and the Moray Firth dolphins all close.

Fort William

The Outdoor Capital under Ben Nevis, with Glen Nevis, Glencoe and the road to Skye on the doorstep.

Aberdeen

The Granite City by the sea, with free museums, a long beach and the gateway to Royal Deeside and the NE250.

Dundee

Scotland’s City of Discovery: the V&A, RRS Discovery and the waterfront, and the road into Angus and Fife.
